At 2.00 am ET Friday, Destatis is scheduled to issue Germany's factory orders for January. Orders are forecast to grow 1.2 percent on month, in contrast to a 2.1 percent drop in December.
Ahead of the data, the euro held steady against its major rivals. The euro was worth 1.1226 against the greenback, 118.91 against the yen, 1.0616 against the franc and 0.8664 against the pound at 1:55 am ET.
