Mortgage approvals and final Purchasing Managers' survey results are due on Friday, while most of the markets are closed for a public holiday.

At 2.00 am ET, UK Nationwide house price data is due. House prices are forecast to fall 0.3 percent on a monthly basis in April, reversing a 0.8 percent rise in March.

Half an hour later, Sweden manufacturing PMI data is due for April.

At 4.30 am ET, the Bank of England is scheduled to issue UK mortgage approvals data for March. The number of mortgages approved in March is forecast to fall to 60,000 from 73,550 in February.

In the meantime, UK IHS Markit/CIPS manufacturing PMI is due. Economists forecast the index to fall to 32.8 in April from 47.8 in March. The flash score was 32.9.
