Turkey's consumer confidence improved in September, survey results from the Turkish Statistical Institute showed on Wednesday.

The consumer confidence index rose to 79.7 in September from 78.2 in August.

The survey was carried out in cooperation with the Turkish Statistical Institute and the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey.

The assessment of the present financial situation of household rose to 62.6 in September from 61.3 in August.

The financial situation expectation of households increased to 79.0 in September from 78.6 in the previous month.

The general economic situation expectation index grew to 79.3 in September from 75.3 in the prior month.

Assessment on spending money on durable goods index over next 12 months remained unchanged at 97.7.
