In June 2025, Brazil's IBC-Br Economic Activity Index, a vital indicator for GDP, experienced a slight month-over-month decrease of 0.1%. This follows a 0.7% decline in May and fails to meet market predictions of a 0.1% increase. The agricultural sector saw a contraction of 2.3%, while the industrial sector saw a minor reduction of 0.1%. On the other hand, both the services sector and tax collections experienced modest increases of 0.1% each. Notably, when agriculture is excluded, the index shows a rise of 0.1%. On a year-over-year basis, the IBC-Br recorded a growth of 1.4%, down from the 3.2% observed in May.
