In July 2025, Lebanon's annual inflation rate moderated to 14.3%, down from 15% in June. This deceleration in inflation was primarily attributed to a reduced pace in price increases for several categories, notably health services, which slowed to 4.57% from June's 21.7%, transportation, at 0.9% compared to 1.9%, and the restaurant and hotels sector, which decreased to 11.6% from 12.3%. Conversely, there was a notable rise in the costs of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which jumped to 21.9% from 20.8%, along with clothing and footwear, which rose to 10.5% from 9.7%. Additionally, furnishings, household equipment, and routine maintenance saw an increase to 5.9% from 3.9%, while recreation, amusement, and cultural activities increased to 10.6% from 8.8%, and miscellaneous goods and services climbed to 26.6% from 26%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices experienced a rise of 1.3% in July, compared to a 0.8% increase in June.
