In July 2025, Finland experienced a year-on-year decrease in producer prices by 1.5%, a slight recovery from the 1.8% reduction observed in June. This marks a continuation of four months of declining producer prices, although it was the smallest decline in the past three months. Specifically, deflationary pressures lessened in the mining and quarrying sector, with a reduction of 2.6% compared to the previous 6.5% decrease in June. In contrast, the sectors involving electricity, gas, steam, and air conditioning saw a positive price shift, with an increase of 1.2% rebounding from a previous 8.9% decrease. Additionally, price growth for services such as water supply, sewage, waste management, and remediation moderated, posting a 2.8% increase compared to 4.5% previously. However, the costs associated with manufactured products continued their downward trend, showing a further decline of 1.8% from a previous 1.4%. Market dynamics for particular goods revealed that the reduction in prices for refined petroleum and pulp was partially counterbalanced by rising prices in food products and precious metals. On a monthly scale, producer prices experienced a 0.1% decline, maintaining the same rate as in June.
