In June 2025, Palestine's trade deficit expanded to USD 388.4 million, a notable increase from USD 359.1 million in June of the previous year. This was largely due to a 9% year-on-year rise in imports, reaching USD 511.3 million. This growth was propelled by a significant 20% increase in imports from various countries, while purchases from Israel, which constituted 5% of the total imports for the month, rose by 2%. On the export front, there was an impressive 14% growth, bringing the total to USD 122.9 million. This upswing was predominantly driven by a 14% rise in exports to Israel, which comprised 93% of Palestine's total exports. Additionally, shipments to other nations grew by 11%. Over the first half of the year, the nation registered a trade deficit of USD 2,701.4 million, in contrast to the USD 2,210.3 million deficit recorded over the same period last year.
