In Slovenia, retail sales experienced a downturn of 0.6% year-on-year in July 2025, following a previously revised increase of 0.4% in the prior month. This decrease represents the first drop since December 2024. The decline was notably influenced by a decrease in sales of food, beverages, and tobacco, which fell by 2.4% compared to a 0.7% increase in June, as well as a significant drop in automotive fuel sales in specialized stores, which plummeted by 5.7% from a 3.6% rise. Conversely, sales of non-food products continued on an upward trend, climbing by 3.6% from a previous 3.1% rise. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, retail sales dipped by 0.9%, following a 0.8% decrease in the preceding period.
