This latest figure indicates that economic activity is on the brink of stalling. Notably, both the employment index and supplier deliveries have descended into contraction, with employment dropping to 46 from July's 51.2, and supplier deliveries decreasing to 47 from 50. Simultaneously, the inventories index saw a slight increase to 49.5 from 48.5, suggesting a deceleration in its decline.
