In August 2025, Tunisia's annual inflation rate decreased to 5.2%, marking its lowest point since May 2021, and slightly down from 5.3% in July. This moderation in inflation was mainly attributed to reduced price hikes in clothing and footwear, which saw an increase of 8.9% compared to 9.1% previously, as well as furnishings and household equipment, which increased by 5% versus 5.2%. Additionally, the recreation and culture sector experienced a price rise of 5.4%, down from 5.9%. Conversely, the cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages remained consistent at 5.9%. On a month-to-month basis, consumer prices increased by 0.3% in August, maintaining the same rate of growth as observed in July.
