Germany's GfK Consumer Climate Indicator fell to -24.1 heading into November 2025, down from a slightly adjusted -22.5 in the previous period, and failed to meet market expectations of -22.0. This marks the lowest level since April, primarily due to a significant drop in income expectations, which fell to 2.3, the lowest seen in eight months, compared to 15.1 in October. The decline is attributed to renewed inflationary concerns, increasing anxiety over job security, and ongoing geopolitical tensions. On a more positive note, economic expectations increased for the first time in four months, rising to 0.8 from -1.4. Furthermore, consumer willingness to make purchases saw a modest improvement, moving up to -9.3 from -11.6. Conversely, the inclination to save marginally decreased to 15.8 from 16.1.
