On Tuesday, London's FTSE 100 index decreased by 0.2% to approximately 9,730, retreating from the strong gains recorded in the previous session due to declines in defensive shares. Leading the downturn were defense and technology investment stocks such as BAE Systems and Polar Capital Technology Trust, which fell by 2.3% and 2.2%, respectively. Other significant losses were registered by Babcock International, Rolls-Royce Holdings, and Scottish Mortgage Investment Trust.
