US export prices increased by 1.6% month-over-month in March 2026, slowing from an upwardly revised 1.9% rise in February but slightly exceeding market expectations of a 1.5% gain. Prices for nonagricultural exports climbed 1.7% in March, after a 2.1% increase in February, as higher costs for industrial supplies and materials more than offset declines in capital goods and consumer goods excluding automobiles. Agricultural export prices rose 0.9% for a second consecutive month, driven primarily by higher prices for soybeans, fruit, and meat. On an annual basis, US export prices were up 5.6% in March, the fastest pace since November 2022, following a revised 3.8% increase in February.
