In 2005, the number of the company shareholders reached 170,060. In 2010, Petrobras sold 2.4 billion new common shares and 1.87 billion new preferred shares worth $69.9 billion. In mid-August 2017, the PBR shares reached $8.88 per share. At the beginning of the trading period the price was $8.68, the highest value reached $8.93 per share. During the reporting period, the Brazilian stock market demonstrated solid growth amid the development of real estate, industry and consumer goods sectors.
