The supervisory board of Germany's Linde will meet on Thursday to talk and vote on a merger deal with U.S. rival based Praxair, two sources said.
There were still questions about the agreement that need answers, one of the sources said, giving no further details.
Linde declined to comment on the matter.
Linde and Praxair announced on Wednesday that they had reached a deal in principle on a Business Combination Agreement for their proposed $70 billion merger.
