Asian shares rallied Monday as markets brace for Brexit talks and monitor the developments regarding a deadly assault on worshippers in a mosque in London.

A van stormed a throng of people in the Finsbury Park Area of London, which is now considered a terrorist attack. One man was reportedly dead, while the police detained a person. The police said the investigation is ongoing.

Also, the EU and Britain will hold discussions regarding the latter's departure from the bloc in the latter part of the day.

The MSCI Asia Pacific Index gained 0.5%, while Japan's Topix added 0.6%. South Korea's Kospi increased 0.3%, while Hong Kong shares gained 0.94%. The Shanghai Composite rose 0.66% and the Shenzhen Composite went up 0.393%.
