India's inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index, eased in September, the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office showed Friday.
The CPI rose 9.73 percent year-on-year in September, slower than 10.03 percent increase in the previous month.
Prices of food and beverages climbed 11.62 percent from a year earlier in September, while the price index for fuel and light rose 7.29 percent.
