According to Reuters poll on friday, 13 of 18 primary dealers said the Fed will announce it is reducing its $85 billion per month of Treasury and mortgage-backed securities purchases at a meeting Sept. 17-18
A similar poll conducted on Aug. 2 found nine of 18 dealers - the large financial institutions that do business directly with the Fed - expected the Fed to reduce the purchases at the September meeting.
