Economists surveyed by the Brazilian central bank kept unchanged their forecasts for economic growth in 2017 at 0.34% for the sixth week in a row. For 2018, the median forecast for GDP growth remained at 2.00% for the seventh week in a row.

Projections for Brazil's debt-to-GDP ratio in 2017 was raised to 51.80%, from 51.70% last week, while for 2018 forecasts increased to 55.29%, from 55.13% last week.

Projections for Brazilian industrial output growth in 2017 rose for the second week, to 1.10%, from 1.03% last week. For 2018, economists estimates fell for the fifth week, to 1.85%, from 2.01% last week.
