South Africa's consumer price inflation slowed in October, figures from Statistics South Africa showed Wednesday.
Consumer prices climbed 4.8 percent year-on-year in October, weaker than September's 5.1 percent increase. The annual rate came in line with expectations.
Prices for goods grew 4.1 percent, following a 4.4 percent rise in September. Likewise, the increase in services cost eased to 5.5 percent from 5.8 percent.
On a monthly basis, consumer prices gained 0.3 percent, in line with expectations.
