Mexico's National Consumer Price Index rose 6.63% in November from a year before, remaining way above the 4% limit set by the country's central bank. It also accelerated when compared to the 6.37% rate posted in October.

The annual inflation in November was a result of higher prices for agricultural goods, energy, and tariffs regulated by the government.

In the monthly comparison, Mexico's consumer price index accelerated sharply, to 1.03% in November from 0.63% in October. The result was above the 0.96% increase expected by analysts.

The core inflation, which excludes food and energy prices, was at 4.90% in November on a yearly basis and 0.34% on a monthly comparison.
