Consumer confidence from Germany and France are due on Wednesday, headlining a light day for the European economic news.

At 2.00 am ET, Germany's GfK consumer confidence survey results are due. The sentiment index is seen falling to 10.7 in April from 10.8 in March.

At 2.45 am ET, the French statistical office Insee publishes consumer sentiment data. The confidence indicator is forecast to remain unchanged at 100 in March.

At 3.00 am ET, retail sales from Spain and unemployment from Hungary are due. Economists forecast sales to grow 2 percent annually in February, slower than the 2.2 percent increase seen in January.

Half an hour later, Statistics Sweden is scheduled to issue retail sales for February. Sales are forecast to climb 0.3 percent on month after rising 0.1 percent in January.

At 4.00 am ET, Italy's Istat releases industrial orders for December. Orders had advanced 6.5 percent on month in November.
