The Brazilian payment services company Cielo reported that its CEO, Eduardo Gouveia, presented a resignation letter to the board of directors, which was promptly accepted. Gouveia will be temporarily replaced by the current executive vice-president of Finance and director of Investor Relations, Clovis Poggetti.
Gouveia claimed personal and family reasons to resign. The executive should work in the transition process until August, while Poggetti should remain in office until a successor is defined.
