At 10:00 am ET Friday, the University of Michigan is scheduled to release its final reading on consumer sentiment for July. The consumer sentiment index for July is expected to be unrevised from the preliminary reading of 97.1.
Ahead of the data, the greenback dropped against its major rivals.
The greenback was worth 111.01 against the yen, 0.9955 against the franc, 1.1654 against the euro and 1.3115 against the pound as of 9:55 am ET.
