Portugal's foreign trade deficit increased in June from a year ago, as imports grew faster than exports, figures from Statistics Portugal showed Thursday.
The trade deficit widened to EUR 1.68 billion in June from EUR 1.04 billion in the corresponding month last year.
In May, the shortfall was EUR 1.13 billion.
In nominal terms, exports climbed 8.6 percent annually in June and imports surged by 18.1 percent.
