The Reserve Bank of Australia will on Tuesday release the minutes from its September 4 monetary policy meeting, setting the pace for a modest day for Asia-Pacific economic activity.

At the meeting, the RBA voted to maintain the cash rate at the record low 1.50 percent. The interest rate has been at the current level since August 2016.

Australia also will see Q2 figures for house prices; in the three months prior, house prices were down 0.7 percent on quarter and up 2.0 percent on year.

New Zealand will release August numbers for non-resident bond holdings; in July, the figure was at 58.7 percent.

Singapore will see July figures for retail sales; in June, sales were up 1.2 percent on month and 2.0 percent on year.

Hong Kong will release unemployment figures for August, with forecasts pinning the jobless rate at 2.7 percent - down from 2.8 percent.
