Estonia's consumer price inflation accelerated for a second straight month in September, preliminary data from Statistics Estonia showed Friday.

The consumer price index rose 3.7 percent year-on-year following a 3.6 percent increase in August. The inflation rate was the highest since June, when it was 4 percent.

The CPI was affected the most by housing, which contributed over one quarter of the total increase, the agency said.

Compared to the previous month, the CPI was flat in September after a 0.5 percent increase in August.
