At 3:30 am ET Friday, IHS Markit releases German preliminary manufacturing PMI for December.
The euro traded mixed against its major counterparts before the data. While the euro rose against the pound, it dropped against the rest of major rivals.
The euro was worth 1.1338 against the greenback, 128.77 against the yen, 1.1279 against the franc and 0.9019 against the pound at 3:25 am ET.
