The pound advanced against its major counterparts in early European deals on Tuesday.
The pound rose to 1.2885 against the dollar, 142.51 against the yen and 0.8757 against the euro, from its early lows of 1.2849, 141.85 and 0.8773, respectively.
The pound edged up to 1.2942 against the franc, off its early 5-day low of 1.2900.
If the pound rises further, it may find resistance around 1.30 against the dollar, 145.00 against the yen, 0.86 against the euro and 1.31 against the franc.
