Denmark's economic growth slowed in the first quarter of the year, preliminary data from Statistics Denmark showed on Wednesday.
Gross domestic product grew 0.3 percent quarter-on-quarter following a 0.8 percent expansion in the previous three months. Thus, Denmark's economic growth came in below that of the EU, which was 0.5 percent. The Danish economy had expanded at par with the EU in the past three quarters.
Growth was largely driven by the services sector, the agency said.
Employment grew modestly in both the public and private sectors.
