At 3.30 am ET Monday, Germany's flash PMI data is due. Economists forecast the composite PMI to rise to 52.0 in September from 51.7 in August.
Ahead of the data, the euro slipped against its major counterparts.
The euro was worth 118.47 against the yen, 0.8831 against the pound, 1.0907 against the franc and 1.1006 against the greenback at 3:25 am ET.
