The Federal Housing Finance Agency's house price index for August will be released at 9:00 am ET Wednesday. The greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts before the data. While the greenback was steady against the franc and the euro, it rose against the yen. Against the pound, it fell.
The greenback was worth 108.50 against the yen, 1.1125 against the euro, 1.2889 against the pound and 0.9896 against the franc at 8:55 am ET.
