The Labour Department's consumer price inflation for the month of October is due out at 8:30 am ET Wednesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major counterparts. While the greenback rose back against the pound and the euro, it declined against the yen. Against the franc, it held steady.
The greenback was worth 108.86 against the yen, 0.9899 against the franc, 1.1005 against the euro and 1.2834 against the pound at 8:25 am ET.
