The manufacturing sector in South Korea continued to contract in November, albeit at a slower pace, the latest survey from IHH revealed on Monday with a manufacturing PMI score of 49.4.
That's up from 48.4 in October, although it remains beneath the boom-or-bust line of 50 that separates expansion from contraction.
Individually, new product launches alleviated the manufacturing downturn, while new orders fell to a weaker extent than earlier this year.
Employment and prices were cut as the overall business outlook remained murky.
