U.S. new home sales data for July is due at 10:00 am ET Tuesday. Ahead of the data, the greenback traded mixed against its major rivals. While the greenback fell against the yen, it held steady against the pound. Against the franc and the euro, it recovered.
The greenback was worth 109.63 against the yen, 1.1746 against the euro, 1.3719 against the pound and 0.9128 against the franc as of 9:55 am ET.
