The Indonesian currency edged up against the dollar during early Asian deals on Tuesday. The Indonesian Rupiah advanced to a multi-day high of 1.1003 versus the greenback by 5:20 pm ET, compared to yesterday's close of 1.1068. On the upside, the Indonesian currency may find resistance near 1.09 level.

Traders continued to ponder over the Indonesian government's stimulus package worth 50 trillion rupiah that announced yesterday to help the country to survive the global economic crisis. The funds are expected to help the economy grow by as much as 5 percent in 2009, the government said, and keep the unemployment rate from further substantial gains.
