Early in the American session, the EUR/USD pair is trading at 1.0944, above the 21 SMA, and above the 1/8 Murray located at 1.0864.
EUR/USD has formed a double-top pattern around the area of 1.0960 and is showing signs of exhaustion. This pattern could be confirmed if the Euro breaks the uptrend channel formed on H1 charts and falls below 1.0913. Then, we could expect a technical correction to occur towards the bottom of the uptrend channel formed since early November.
On the other hand, in case the euro continues to rise, it should face the +2/8 Murray at 1.0986. If this level is surpassed, the instrument could reach the psychological level of 1.10.
On the contrary, if the euro breaks the uptrend channel and trades below 1.0850, we could expect a change in the trend and EUR/USD could reach the 200 EMA at 1.0751 and could even fall towards the 7/8 Murray at 1.0620.
As long as the euro trades above the 21 SMA at 1.0913, it favors the bullish outlook, but the latest Japanese candlesticks on the H4 chart are showing indecision which could lead to a technical correction in the coming days. The eagle indicator is giving a negative signal which could favor the opportunity to sell only if the Euro consolidates below 1.0955.
