Analysis of transactions and trading tips on EUR/USD
The test of 1.0910 occurred at a time when the MACD line started to fall from zero, provoking a signal to sell. As a result, the pair declined by 35 pips. Purchases on the rebound at 1.0881 led to a price increase of 15 pips.
Disappointing data from the eurozone led to a sell-off, which may continue after the release of the Empire State Manufacturing index in the US and speech of FOMC member Christopher Waller. Statements addressing the delay of rate cuts could disrupt the market balance and provoke a new downward movement in euro.
For long positions:
Buy when euro hits 1.0910 (green line on the chart) and take profit at the price of 1.0945. Growth will occur amid a very dovish stance of FOMC member Christopher Waller.
When buying, ensure that the MACD line lies above zero or rises from it. Euro can also be bought after two consecutive price tests of 1.0874, but the MACD line should be in the oversold area, as only by that will the market reverse to 1.0910 and 1.0945.
For short positions:
Sell when euro reaches 1.0874 (red line on the chart) and take profit at the price of 1.0843. Pressure will increase in the absence of bullish activity after the correction and hawkish comments from Fed representatives.
When selling, make sure that the MACD line lies below zero or drops down from it. Euro can also be sold after two consecutive price tests of 1.0910, but the MACD line should be in the overbought area as only by that will the market reverse to 1.0874 and 1.0843.
