Meanwhile, Strategy sold another 1,690 bitcoins at an average price of $64,262 between August 3 and 9, marking the second consecutive week of sales and the fourth such transaction in 2026. The total number of coins sold since the beginning of the year has reached 6,948 BTC, while the company's holdings have fallen to 840,447 coins, acquired for $63.36 billion at an average price of $75,385 per coin. Since the sale took place significantly below this cost basis, the company recorded a realized loss, while unrealized losses on the entire position are currently estimated at $8.7–11 billion, depending on the calculation methodology.
The $108.6 million in proceeds, as expected, were fully used to repurchase 1.15 million STRC preferred shares, while the simultaneous sale of MSTR shares generated another $653.1 million, of which $650 million was added to the dollar reserve, bringing it to $4.65 billion.
I think it is obvious to everyone that as long as sales of this kind by such large holders as Strategy continue, there is little reason to expect the market to find a bottom in the near term.
As for short-term trading, the strategy and conditions are described below.
Buy Scenario
Scenario #1: I will buy Bitcoin today when the entry point is reached around $64,400, with a target of $64,700. Around $64,700, I will close the long position and immediately sell on a rebound. Before buying on a breakout, make sure that the 50-day moving average is below the current price and that the Awesome Oscillator is above zero.
Scenario #2: Bitcoin can be bought from the lower boundary of $64,100 if there is no market reaction to its breakout, with a reversal toward $64,400 and $64,700.
Sell Scenario
Scenario #1: I will sell Bitcoin today when the entry point is reached around $64,100, with a target of $63,500. Around $63,500, I will close the short position and immediately buy on a rebound. Before selling on a breakout, make sure that the 50-day moving average is above the current price and that the Awesome Oscillator is below zero.
Scenario #2: Bitcoin can be sold from the upper boundary of $64,400 if there is no market reaction to its breakout, with a reversal toward $64,100 and $63,500.
