Government data showed that the French current account deficit grew marginally in June with a fall in exports.
From EUR1.9 billion current-account deficit in May, it advanced to 2.1 billion euros ($2.48 billion) in June.
The trade deficit rose slightly to EUR4.7 billion, driven by a decline in ship and aeronautical exports.
