In August 2025, Thailand experienced a rise in its business confidence indicator to 47.5, up from a ten-month low of 45.8 in July. This boost was attributed to improvements across various components, notably: performance, which increased from 44.3 to 48.5; production, moving from 45.1 to 47.6; employment, climbing from 48.6 to 49.4; investment, rising from 50.6 to 51.3; overall order books, growing from 45.6 to 46.5; and export conditions, which lifted from 44.3 to 45.8. Sector-wise, the manufacturing index saw an uptick, prominently driven by the electronics industry where companies reported consistent gains in both performance and production. Meanwhile, the non-manufacturing index also advanced across various sectors, with hotels and restaurants reaping the benefits of heightened demand during the European summer vacation period. The construction sector demonstrated improved confidence as well, bolstered by public projects and non-residential developments such as industrial factories. Looking ahead, the business sentiment index, with a three-month outlook, reached a six-month high of 51.1 in August, compared to 47.9 in July.
