In July 2025, Sweden experienced a 3.8% year-on-year increase in industrial production, which was a noticeable deceleration from the revised 13.8% expansion observed in June. This trend marked the fourth consecutive month of growth in industrial activity, albeit at a reduced rate. Manufacturing output saw a significant decline of 19.2%, compared to the 20.2% increase in the previous month, while mining and quarrying output also dropped, recording an 18.7% decrease against June's 19.3% rise. Meanwhile, the production for electricity, gas, steam, and hot water facilities continued to contract but at a less severe rate, declining by 16.1% compared to the previous month's 21.3% drop. On a seasonally adjusted monthly basis, industrial output retreated by 4.7%, counteracting the previously revised growth of 5.2% in the previous month.
