On a global scale, attention is centered on the US Federal Reserve's policy decision expected later today, which is largely anticipated to result in a 25 basis points rate cut. On the corporate side, the index was under pressure from losses in companies such as Auckland International Airport (-1.5%), a2 Milk (-3.2%), Port of Tauranga (-1.6%), Spark NZ (-0.8%), and Heartland Group (-1.5%).
