Palestine’s trade deficit widened to USD 500.9 million in December 2025, up from USD 434.4 million in the same month a year earlier. Imports rose by 15% year-on-year to USD 691.1 million, mainly due to a 24% surge in imports from Israel, which accounted for 59% of the total. Imports from other countries also increased, though more moderately, by 5%. On the export side, total shipments grew by 16% to USD 190.2 million, supported by a 22% rise in exports to Israel, which made up 89% of overall exports. By contrast, exports to other destinations fell by 19% in December. Over the full year, the trade deficit widened to USD 5,700.3 million, compared with USD 4,817.9 million a year earlier.
