Saudi Arabia’s industrial production increased by 8.9% year-on-year in February 2026, easing from a more than three-year high of 10.8% in January. Growth in oil-related activities slowed to 11.5% from 13.2%, reflecting weaker output in coke and refined petroleum products (5.2% vs 13.0%) and in crude petroleum and natural gas extraction (13.0% vs 13.3%).
Expansion in non-oil sectors also lost momentum, with growth moderating to 2.4% from 4.9%. This was driven primarily by slower gains in manufacturing (2.8% vs 4.2%) and in water supply, sewerage, waste management, and remediation services (8.1% vs 11.8%). In contrast, electricity, gas, steam, and air-conditioning supply shifted into contraction, declining by 3.7% after a 10.2% increase in the prior month.
On a monthly basis, industrial production fell 0.2% in February, following a 0.1% decline in January.
