US stock futures were little changed on Friday after President Donald Trump struck an optimistic tone on a possible agreement to end the conflict with Iran, saying Tehran had accepted terms it had long resisted. Trump also announced a 10‑day ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, a move later confirmed by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
In Thursday’s regular session, the S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite rose 0.26% and 0.36%, respectively, with both indexes closing at fresh record highs, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 0.24%. Seven of the 11 S&P sectors advanced, led by energy, real estate, and technology.
In corporate news, Netflix shares fell nearly 10% in after-hours trading after the company issued a cautious outlook for the second quarter and said co‑founder and chairman Reed Hastings will step down from the board in June.
