Denmark’s manufacturing confidence indicator declined to 90.8 in June 2026 from 93.5 in May, moving further below the long-term average of 100. This was the lowest reading since December and was mainly driven by softer production expectations, which eased to 9 from 10, and a further deterioration in employment expectations, which fell to -21 from -18, signaling a weaker labor outlook in the industrial sector. At the same time, price expectations moderated, dropping to 14 from 21, indicating easing cost pressures.
More broadly, the composite business sentiment indicator fell to 101.0 from 104.1. Confidence declined in both industry and services: the services sentiment indicator slipped to 105.5 from 108.9, while retail trade eased to 99.9 from 101.9. In contrast, construction sentiment inched up to 101.5 from 101.0, highlighting continued resilience in that sector.
