Slovenia’s seasonally adjusted manufacturing business tendency indicator rose to -4 in June 2026 from -5 in May, marking the least pessimistic reading since January. The overall improvement reflected a slightly better assessment of current production (4 vs 3 in May), stronger employment expectations (7 vs 6), and a modest uptick in total orders assessments (-17 vs -19).
Production expectations held steady at 6, and the labour hoarding indicator was unchanged at 8. Stocks of finished goods eased to 2 from 3, indicating slower inventory accumulation. Selling price expectations, however, declined notably to 13 from 21.
At the same time, the indicator for total order books slipped slightly to -21 from -20, and the uncertainty gauge in manufacturing inched up to 33 from 32. Outside the manufacturing sector, sentiment weakened in retail trade, construction, and services, although confidence in all three sectors remained above their long-term averages.
