European equity markets were poised to open higher on Monday after President Donald Trump announced that peace talks with Iran would resume today, following his decision to call off a planned strike on the Islamic Republic. The move pushed oil prices lower and helped ease concerns over inflation and the interest rate outlook. In Europe, investors will focus on German retail sales and Turkish inflation data, as well as final manufacturing PMI readings from across the region. On the corporate side, earnings are due from Covestro, Acciona Energia, Morgan Advanced Materials, Autolus Therapeutics, and Salvatore Ferragamo, among others. In premarket trading, Euro Stoxx 50 futures rose 0.8%, while Stoxx 600 futures advanced 0.5%, leaving both benchmark indexes within reach of new record highs.
