Sweden’s Producer Price Index (PPI) inflation eased in July 2026, underscoring a continued moderation in upstream price pressures. Year-over-year, the PPI slowed to 6.4% in July, down from 7.4% in June 2026. The figures compare price levels in each month to the same month a year earlier.
The data, updated on 26 August 2026, show that the peak pace recorded in June has given way to a softer, though still elevated, rate of producer price growth. The deceleration suggests some relief in cost pressures facing Swedish producers, which could, over time, filter through to consumer prices and broader inflation dynamics. However, with PPI still well above zero, businesses remain exposed to higher input costs than a year ago, even as the rate of increase gradually slows.
